Description

Our manufacturing client in Rockford, IL is currently seeking skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technicians to join their dynamic team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in the mechanical repair, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting of their precision machining equipment.

Responsibilities:

Perform mechanical repairs and troubleshooting on equipment.
Independently troubleshoot issues, emphasizing problem-solving over part replacement.
Execute preventative maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability.
Demonstrate strong mechanical blueprint interpretation skills.
Utilize a solid mechanical aptitude to identify and address issues efficiently.
Adhere to Lock-out Tag-out (L.O.T.O) procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Read and interpret mechanical blueprints.
Understand hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Utilize common hand tools and multi-meter test instruments effectively.

Qualifications:

0-10+ years of experience in a maintenance role.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Understanding of Lock-out Tag-out (L.O.T.O) procedures.
Experience troubleshooting and repairing equipment (CNC/machine tool environment preferred).
Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints.
Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Ability to use common hand tools and multi-meter test instruments.

Nice-to-Have:

Experience with precision tooling, particularly CNC mill/lathe experience.
Any experience in machining or the machine tool industry.
