    Position Summary:

    Community Foundation of Broward is looking for a high-achieving candidate with strong relationship skills, excellent communication abilities, a proven history of securing large investments, and a genuine dedication to enhancing philanthropic resources for our Broward Community.

    This role presents an exciting opportunity for a professional who is enthusiastic about making a positive impact on our community by encouraging others to generously invest in making Broward a better place.

    Reporting to the Vice President of Philanthropic Services, the Senior Director of Philanthropic Services plays a crucial role in enhancing Community Foundation of Broward's financial assets, overseeing a team, and expanding the foundation's reach.

    The success of this individual's fundraising efforts is instrumental to Community Foundation of Broward's ability to raise $50 million annually.



    Primary Responsibilities:

    Identifying, cultivating, and soliciting:
    • Potential Donors for new gifts.
    • Current Donors to grow their Funds and involve the Foundation in their estate plan.
    • Building relationships with professional advisors to align our services.

    Team leadership:
    • Supervising members of the Philanthropic Services Team.
    • Guiding and mentoring team members to achieve objectives.
    • Supporting VP of Philanthropic Services with various projects.
    • Assisting in developing strategies for special initiatives.

    Build and Grow Funds:
    • Enhance existing donor Funds.
    • Create new donor Funds.
    • Expand the planned gift pipeline.
    • Collaborate with Professional Advisor Community.
    • Steward current donors for enhanced engagement.


    Frontline Fundraising Goals:

    • Engage with high-net-worth donors and prospects in face-to-face meetings.
    • Interact proactively with PAC members and professional advisors.
    • Secure significant gifts annually.
    • Generate referrals from Advisors.
    • Grow the Planned Gift Pipeline consistently.
    • Manage a portfolio of prospects.
    • Work collaboratively on donor strategies and proposals.
    • Proficient in database and prospect management systems.

    Community Involvement:
    • Participate in CFB events.
    • Attend external events as needed.
    • Be knowledgeable about CFB's work in the community.
    • Understand CFB's community priorities.
    • Get involved with nonprofit organizations.
    • Engage with professional networks.
    • Stay updated on community trends.

    Position Qualifications:
    • 5-7 years in a development role.
    • Experience managing a team.
    • Track record of securing significant gifts.
    • Proficiency in donor management.
    • Skilled collaborator.
    • Bachelor's degree required; master's preferred.
    • CFRM or CFRE certification is a plus.

    Technology Qualifications:
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Experience with donor database systems.
    • Knowledge of Wealth engine, PG Calc.

    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $120,000 to $130,000.00 per year
