Performance Improvement Coordinator - Maitland, United States - Universal Health Services
Description
ResponsibilitiesThe Performance Improvement Coordinator plans, coordinates, directs and carries out activities related to the facility-wide performance and quality improvement program and processes.
The Performance Improvement Coordinator will audit records to ensure documentation is completed timely, effectively and according to facility policy, to ensure facility staff is following established policies and procedures, and to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, contracts, licensing standards and guidelines.
The Performance Improvement Coordinator will assist PI Director in preparing for, and conducting the monthly PI Committee, will implement action plans deriving from those meetings and regulatory surveys .
QualificationsEducation:
Bachelor's degree or Master's degree from an accredited college or university. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or other mental health related program preferred.
Experience:
Five (5) years clinical experience in a psychiatric inpatient facility with knowledge of Performance Improvement/Quality Management preferred. A strong knowledge of The Joint Commission. CMS, AHCA, OSHA standards and any other applicable federal and start laws and regulations governing mental health care facilities.
License/Certification:
None requiredSkills:
Must have good verbal and written communications skills in order to communicate in a clear and concise manner with employees, patients, the general public, physicians and administrative personnel.
Must have good analytical ability to interpret and analyze Performance and Quality Improvement data. Must have the ability to plan, direct, implement and evaluate Performance and Quality Improvement activities for the facility.Must have excellent computer skills.
Physical Requirements:
Visual acuity, accurate hearing, extensive sitting most of the day, some standing. Must lift up to twenty (20) pounds and walk the campus periodically.
