POSITION SCOPE
The Concrete Superintendent will function as a field supervisor and may have responsibility for multiple foreman, and/or laborers/craft workers.

They will be responsible for the plan for safety, quality, concrete work methods, scheduling, and cost control, conformity with drawings and specification, and overall workmanship.

They will also work to maintain positive working relationships with clients, architect/engineer, suppliers, subcontractors, and jobsite staff.


PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Lead and understand all aspects of concrete operations
  • Understands and monitors project cost analysis and budgeting
  • Works closely with Project Manager to assist with job scheduling and appropriate staffing needs
  • Organizes job site for material storage, equipment, and employee parking
  • Planning and coordination of all labor, materials, & equipment required to complete a project
  • Monitor field productivity to ensure work is completed in a cost effective and professional manner
  • Professionally communicate with owners, customers, general contractors, and subcontractors
  • Assist in the hiring, training and evaluation of new team members
  • Create and maintain good working relationships with all employees
  • Safety, Safety, Safety comply with all OSHA and company policies, procedures, and standards of safety
  • Other duties as assigned

BACKGROUND

  • 5+ years of concrete superintendent experience is required
  • Experience managing heavy civil projects is required
  • Bridge construction experience is preferred
  • Valid Driver's License is required
  • Acceptable MVR in accordance with Fisher's Company Vehicle Program policy is required
  • Strong supervisory, organizational, and communication skills is required
  • Ability to maintain accuracy and high standard of quality in a high production environment is required
  • Ability to complete work tasks under various adverse weather conditions including heat in excess of 100 degrees, cold, and rain
  • Ability to pass a preemployment drug test and government background check is required
