    Job Title: Onsite Service Engineer I

    Payrate: $ /hr.

    Location: Chandler, AZ

    Duration: 6 months (contract to hire)

    This position requires occasional travel for 10% of the position.

    Shift: For the first few months will be on day shift 7:00 am – 4:00 pm. Then will go to a compressed work week, can be M-TH 10 or 12 hour work day schedule as well.

    Description:

    Utilizes electromechanical skills to provide excellent service to customers.

    Performs installation and troubleshooting on vacuum pumps, abatement, gas and chemical delivery systems to maintain and increase revenue for both service and sales divisions.

    Participates in site safety programs to create a zero-hazard environment.

    Works professionally and develops customer relations.

    Demonstrates ability to understand detailed electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.

    Understands and adheres to all site fab and Subfab protocol requirements.

    Comprehends the use of test equipment including various test meters, hand tools, and power tools.

    Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance; works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.

    Education level

    High School Diploma.

    Requires an Associates degree. (full military equivalent may substitute for AS degree)

    Relevant Previous experience

    1-3 years of equivalent experience in relevant technical field such as electronic, mechanical, chemical, gas, refrigeration or basic vacuum.

    Knowledge areas/Skills

    Must have a positive attitude, be energetic and enthusiastic, and possess a strong willingness to learn and a commitment to excellence.

    A self-starter who can set priorities, demonstrate initiative and the ability to get the job done. Must be capable of following instructions and exercising good independent judgment when appropriate.

    Possess excellent customer interfacing and communication skills.

    Able to read engineering drawings and electrical diagrams. Competent in the use of test equipment including various test meters, hand tools, and power tools. Possess basic computer skills which includes thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office.

    May be required to work in confined or awkward spaces for extended periods of time. Will be required to complete training to work at height (please confirm is this is correct word) using approved fall protection equipment.

    Successful completion of Phsyical Capability assessment required, clean driving record.

    Fluency in written and spoken English. Ability to speak distinctly and see/hear clearly.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and outdoor weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to work in high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use stairways to climb to multiple floors within office building, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to use hands and fingers to type or dial, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and reach with hands and arms.

    The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. This position requires frequent computer use. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
