- Sales and customer service. Lease as many apartments as possible based on your occupancy/vacancy. Provide great customer service to your current residents.
- The discipline to follow up. Consistent follow-ups are one of the most valuable acts for anyone in a sales role. Be politely persistent.
- Product knowledge. Understand our product and be able to articulate its value.
- Collaborate with your team. Understand the unique needs of prospects and residents to determine the best solution.
- Strong performance of general and specific administrative office skills including but not limited to management of resident's files and online account, lease compliance, move in, move out and renewal paperwork.
- Leasing experience preferred. Experience in a service-oriented industry considered.
- Availability to work rotating weekend hours, while still enjoying 40 hours per week.
- Ability to multitask with a high level or organizational skills.
- Creativity to conceptualize and conduct resident events on a regular basis.
- Self-motivation and drive. Quick on your feet with a strong work ethic.
- Resilience and tenacity. Rejection is a very real part of the job, however you can't get discouraged.
- People skills. Ability to have conversations with prospects and listen to their real needs, so you can build rapport and trust.
- Charisma. Must be likeable to prospects and residents.
- Empathy. Relating to the customers and supporting them.
- Confidence. Never let go of opportunities and stay positive.
