Job DescriptionPosition Summary
The School of Business at Stevens Institute of Technology invites applications for the position of a Corporate Outreach Manager (COM).
The COM will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Corporate Outreach and Professional Advancement (COPA) office in the School of Business.
The COM will execute placement strategies for both undergraduate and graduate programs in the School of Business and primarily focus on student facing activities.
Responsibilities :
Host daily office hours to assist students with the career development process. Topics include interview preparation, job application best practices, networking strategies, etc.
Conduct resume reviews and provide feedback to students in a timely manner
Assist in various event planning activities that may occur on and off campus, such as information sessions, professional headshots, guest speaker engagements, office visits, interview days and networking events
Lead career workshops that support the education and training of students
Manage COPA shared inbox with attention to detail, responding in a timely manner and crafting and distributing tailored communications to various audiences
Expand existing recruiting partnerships with industry and identify opportunities for new relationships.
This includes, but not limited to, management of corporate meetings, follow-up tasks, communications to students, internal departments and external organizations
Manage COPA's social media presence including Linkedin and Instagram as well as the LMS intranet Canvas shell
Teach 1-2 sections of Business Career Seminar to undergraduate students
Liaise with internal departments such as Career Center, Student Success Center, SSB Faculty and Marketing to execute on events, initiatives and strategic goals
Required education and experience:
Bachelor's degree in business, counseling, education, human resources or related field; Master's degree preferred
Minimum 3 years of recruitment related experience either in industry or higher education
Must possess a strong work ethic, problem solving skills, high attention to detail, and analytical demeanor and mindset
Previous experience with teaching, leading workshops or conducting training preferred
Strong interpersonal skills with diverse constituents and experience providing customer service
Must have experience with graduate students and international students
Ability to work on a team and individually
Strong written and oral communication skills
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products and Google Suite tools
Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks and changing priorities
Must possess maturity, good judgment, business savviness and discretion
Working Conditions:
Flexible Work Arrangement with 4-5 days per week in the office. Position may transition to a full-time traditional office environment in the future.
