    About this role:


    Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Business Accountability Specialist to join our Technology organization and be part of our Chief Technology Office (CTO) team.

    As a Senior Business Accountability Specialist, you will leverage your strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) management with an emphasis on testing tools and industry standard testing frameworks to make an impact at Wells Fargo.


    Your responsibilities will include building, leading, transforming, and executing Risk & Control Self-Assessment and Issue Management as you build, transform, and execute Control Identification, Control Design and Testing, and Quality Assurance/Quality Control activities related to the control.

    You will ensure implementation of the required management frameworks to manage risks associated with the SDLC.

    In this role, you will engage with various stakeholders from partner teams to drive effective control design and operationalization as well as support the development and implementation of regular communication methods to keep employees informed of policy and procedural updates.

    You will leverage your understanding of the current systems and their respective capabilities while driving change in the organization.

    You will continue to make an impact with your ability to handle complex change management while remaining risk disciplined as you ensure ongoing and annual reviews of procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.


    In this role, you will:

    • Lead or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within business and contribute to large-scale, cross-functional planning related to mitigation of current and emerging business risk issues and concerns
    • Assess, analyze, and design moderately complex controls, protocols, and approaches with respect to risk mitigation and the control environment, including ensuring effective planning for sustainability, ongoing control adherence, reporting, measurement, technology impacts, and monitoring
    • Independently make decisions and resolve moderately complex issues while leveraging solid understanding of the business's functional area or products, operations, and regulatory environment; facilitate decision-making and issue resolution, and support implementation of developed solutions and plans; lead peers and key business partners to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
    • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to address current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations, and provide guidance or support in interpreting, developing, and implementing risk-mitigating strategies and ensure valuable reviews with meaningful results
    • Partner with peers and the business in interactions with external parties to support appropriateness and timeliness of response, and effectiveness of communications and materials
    • May serve as a mentor for lower-level staff
    • Facilitate requests for information and support research from business units and assist with and review final responses to all audit requests
    • Provide direction and expertise on development of sufficient documentation including policies, procedures, processes, and user guides to increase efficiencies, reduce errors and mitigate risk

    Required Qualifications:

    • 4+ years of risk management, business controls, quality assurance, business operations, compliance, or process experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Knowledge and understanding of the end-to-end Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC) process including Build, Test, & Release
    • Experience with software testing tools and industry standard testing frameworks
    • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
    • Banking industry experience
