    Temp to Hire Legal Secretary/Office Manager
    Location:Brea, CA 92821
    About the Position:Join a boutique law office that highly values your expertise, work ethic, and commitment. The law firm, with a solo practitioner, offers a home-like office converted in Brea close to City Hall Park. Begin retirement contributions after a year. Ideal for an experienced litigation secretary residing within a short distance from Brea and seeking a closer workplace with regular hours.
    Qualifications:
    • Proficient in clerical tasks and e-filing for the state
    • Transcription from dictation ability
    • Skilled in operating office equipment
    • Computer literate
    • Previous experience with WordPerfect, QuickBooks, TimeSlips, and Legal Solutions/Essential Forms preferred
    • Strong phone etiquette
    • Prior legal secretary and/or paralegal experience
    • Notary Public certification advantageous
    • Full-time availability, with some flexibility in schedule
    Essential Functions:
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills
    • High attention to detail and accuracy
    • Advanced word processing expertise
    • Ability to comprehend and execute complex instructions
    • Maintain files and databases
    • Create routine documents and reports
    • Manage calendars and prioritize tasks
    • Strong written and verbal communication
    • Screen and answer phone calls
    • Accurate data entry for accounting and billing systems
    • Typing speed of 60+ words per minute from dictation
    Salary:$35.00 per hour temporarily, with a permanent salary around $75k-$80k. Salaries up to $85k considered.
    Benefits:
    • Paid time off

    Schedule:
    • 8-hour shifts
    • Monday to Friday
    Requirements:
    • Preferably 2 years of legal experience
    • Minimum 2 years of word processing experience
    • Preferred 1 year of litigation experience
    • Notary Public certification is a bonus
    • Ability to commute to Brea, CA 92821
