- Valid PA Certification in Special Education N- required.
- Learning support experience at the high school level preferred.
- Current child abuse, criminal history and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
- Clearance as an MA provider by the federal government and commonwealth of PA (conducted by the CCIU upon hire).
- Instruct individuals and groups in special education skill areas.
- Plan curriculum, lessons, and special education programs and teaching methods.
- Evaluate and monitor student progress based on classroom performance, test scores, and observation of behavior.
- Support objectives and interventions of the educational program.
- Maintain safe physical environment of the classroom.
- Maintain contact with professionals concerning student progress.
- Develop IEPs addressing specific academic, behavioral, and speech needs of students.
- Prepare report cards, educational records, classroom observation records, and other documentation as required. Function as integral member of treatment/IEP team, addressing needs of students.
