Duties:


  • You will approve purchases using a commercial purchase card to secure equipment, supplies, and services.
  • You will enter data into a database to produce purchasing reports.
  • You will discuss documentation discrepancies to resolve purchasing issues.
  • You will confirm necessary information needed to support or complete purchase requests is gathered.
  • You will advise requestors of available supplies or services, sources, and prices to reduce cost expenditures and expedite orders.
  • You will Gather data used to prepare documents, reports, logs, spreadsheets, instructions, or other similar correspondence.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications:


  • Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Using purchasing regulations, policies, procedures and business practices to purchase a variety of commercial and specialized supplies and services; 2) Ensuring post-award procedures are met by monitoring the delivery of supplies or services and recommending solutions to problems such as delays or damage in shipment, poor quality or workmanship, etc.; 3) Maintaining records for accountability of procured supplies, equipment and services and; 4) Preparing and submitting purchase orders.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is sedentary and requires no special physical demands.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed in an office setting involving everyday risks and discomforts. Normal safety precautions are adequate.


A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee.

A relocation incentive may be authorized.


A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
