Internship Overview
Our creative teams generate, develop and produce various kinds of content that aligns with the TerraCycle visual identity and are looking for innovative collaborators to support our various lines of business. Ideal creative interns are passionate, out of the box thinkers with a drive for exploring new ideas and dynamic collaboration. Our creative teams include Content Marketing, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Marketing, Photo & Video Production, and UI/UX Design which support our various departments, clients and stakeholders.
Content Marketing interns will support the TerraCycle Marketing team in strengthening online brand identity by leveraging social media and digital platforms. The Content Marketing team dynamically produces Tik Toks, Reels, and more, to engage with our consumers, and garner interest in our recycling programs. Ideal interns are creative, idea-generating, and highly organized with the desire to assist in developing engaging digital content for TerraCycle's lines of business. Content Marketing interns will gain hands-on experience creating various forms of content, like TikTok and Reels videos, and copywriting.
Graphic Design interns will assist the design team in creating content for print and digital channels that align with the TerraCycle visual identity and brand standards. The Graphic Design team supports our various lines of business by developing branding for our products and creating materials for both internal and external publications. Ideal Graphic Design interns have strong design, layout, and formatting skills, a deep understanding of typography, and be proficient in foundational apps in the Adobe Creative Suite.
Industrial Design interns help the Design team develop upcycled concepts, designs, and prototypes for some of the world's largest brands made from the companies own supply chain and consumer waste. The Industrial Design team focuses on creating eco-minded products made from consumer and supply chain waste that help people understand that they too can eliminate the idea of waste. Ideal interns are crafty, with a knack for seeing another mans trash as treasure. The Industrial Design intern will work on projects including gamified and engineered collection bins, upcycled and recycled products, upcycled art pieces, and DIY projects.
Photo & Video Production interns will work with the creative team to produce a wide range of video and photo assignments for TerraCycle and our clients. The ideal intern is passionate, knowledgeable about their craft, and able to adapt with the team and its dynamic projects. Photo & Video interns will gain experience performing all aspects of video production including producing, directing, shooting and editing.
UX/UI Design interns support the Graphics team in creating a seamless user experience for our websites. UX/UI Design interns will be expected to work on various aspects of the website design process, including but not limited to: ideation, gathering of references, work on wireframes, participate in meetings, present work & progress, building & maintaining UI kits, creating presentations, editing & receiving feedback in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite. UX/UI Interns will get the opportunity to work directly with the lead UX/UI Designer to support new and existing website/digital app projects.
