- Analyze work orders by size, urgency, skill set, location, complexity, and available resources; while assisting Maintenance Supervision by issuing work orders in a sequential flow to individual mechanics or work teams.
- Prepare daily and weekly maintenance schedules. Facilitates scheduling meetings with all departments.
- Manage work through a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS - Tabware), this includes but is not limited to scheduling PM frequencies, assigning work in the system, reviewing open work, uploading/finding information in the system.
- In coordination with the Parts Department, ensures appropriate parts are available/ordered on a timely basis to minimize machine downtime.
- Work closely with mechanics and store personnel to stage materials, tools, and other resources necessary to accomplish the work in the most productive manner possible.
- Develops job plans for repair, process improvements and PM work as needed. Planning may include obtaining drawings, documentation, manuals, etc.
- Plans for interruptions in work and develops backup plans.
- Requisition parts, tools, and other materials as required.
- Coordinate work with contractors and outside services as required.
- Develop, maintain, and distribute workflow processes to the entire maintenance team documenting how work is planned, scheduled, and executed.
- Provides regular statistical reporting to the management team and customers showing quantities evidence of the productive use of the work force.
- Uses guidelines set by management, develop, implement, and manage preventative maintenance and life cycle optimization strategies.
- Performs annual review of preventative and predictive maintenance programs to ensure current work order system library contains correct frequencies and balanced 12-month schedules for all mechanics and store personnel.
- Analyzes predictive maintenance data for trends. Initiates corrective actions as appropriate.
- Be part of our on-call coverage for the Maintenance Team
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years related experience (in food manufacturing preferred), or the equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
- Minimum 5 years Maintenance Technician experience.
- Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS - Tabware) knowledge preferred.
- Dairy and/or food processing knowledge
- Planning and/or scheduling in a manufacturing or similar environment
- Must be computer literate, able to work with planning software
- Must be a proven problem solver, with strong troubleshooting skills and ability to validate work order requirements.Detail oriented and highly organized with excellent follow-up practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages. Basic analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, generate reports and effectively present information to an internal department and/or large groups of employees.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, co-workers, and/or supervisors.
- Dairy and/or food processing knowledge preferred.

Management Responsibility
The Maintenance Scheduler/Planner is an individual contributor role that operates autonomously within established processes under the general direction of the Senior Maintenance Supervisor.
Work Environment
This job operates in an office environment and in the manufacturing plant. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. Ability to operate a computer, phone, and copier required. Incumbent must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, stretch and lift up to 35 pounds. Must be able to see and speak. The employee will be exposed to noise, wet floors, moving machinery, strong smells, etc. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work near moving mechanical parts, high speed and processing equipment; is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and hazardous chemicals; may be exposed to moderate to high noise levels in the work environment.
*Starting Pay Range: $64,819.00 to 87,505.00
Hours: Days (8am-5pm)
