    Onsite - This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Lockport, New York, on a full-time basis.

    The Role

    As a Senior Maintenance Area Planner , you will be responsible for the supervision of salaried employees responsible for operations, maintenance and repair of plant equipment. Work requires the ability to make decisions based on established procedure. Work is of a technical nature using independent judgment within the limits of GMS; focusing on Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost, and Environment (SPQRCE). Use of independent judgement. Responsible for training others.

    What You'll Do

    In this role, you will oversee a small to medium group of salaried maintenance Group Leaders. Leads the maintenance and repair of plant equipment and facilities aligned with standard GM maintenance systems. You will conduct appropriate checks and tests and communicates evaluation of results. Responsible for preventative maintenance and diagnosis of equipment malfunctions, Recommends solutions to problems, and meets schedule and quality requirements in addition to the following responsibilities.

    • Complies with the terms of local and national labor agreements
    • Implements divisional and corporate policies
    • Implements safety and good housekeeping practices
    • Frequent contact and collaboration with others outside of the work group
    • Responsible for the effective use of personnel, material and equipment
    • Participates in the selection of new employees
    • Trains, develops and evaluates employees
    • Establishes a course of action to accomplish completion of the job and/or project
    • Leads technical guidance for complex and unusual plant operations or projects
    • Assists in the development of budgets and forecasts within assigned area
    • Obtains a deep knowledge and ability to implement GMS principles
    Additional Description

    Your Skills & Abilities (Basic Qualifications)
    • Bachelors Degree in engineering or other technical field and/or equivalent experience
    • 3+ years experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment
    • Relatively high level of analytical ability where problems are complex
    • Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
    • Knowledge of basic math including trigonometry
    • Oral and written communication skills
    • Medium level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
    • Knowledge of basic mechanical concept
    • Demonstrated technical and professional skills in job-related area
    • Knowledge of and ability to effectively use computer software as it pertains to engineering
    • This job may be eligible for relocation benefits.

    • Knowledge of maintenance and construction standards and codes and applicable laws and regulations.
    Compensation : The expected base compensation for this role is: $ 104, $166, Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
