    Job Title: Respiratory Care Professor/Coordinator

    Job Description:

    A Respiratory Care Professor/Coordinator is responsible for teaching an instructional program in respiratory care (RC). Instructs students in theory, professionalism, and clinical competencies necessary for credentialing and licensure. Works collaboratively as a team member in the Division of Health Professions.

    Qualifications:

    • Associate's Degree
    • Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential and current state license.
    • Minimum 4 years' experience as a RRT with at least two years' experience in clinical respiratory care.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Teaching students using instructional methods consistent with effective teaching strategies in the educational setting.
    • Maintaining accurate student records including attendance and academic progress in the attendance and computer grade book system.
    • Providing student instruction and supervision in the clinical setting.
    • Organizing and developing curriculum to implement competency-based instruction.
    • Maintaining professional credentials and licensure.
    • Performing other tasks as assigned.

    Requirements:

    • Demonstrated positive human relations and communication skills.
    • Basic computer skills, proficient in the use of Microsoft Office or similar software.
    • Ability to work independently and coordinate work with colleagues and peers.
    • Ability to work well as a team member in an instructional unit.
