    Job DescriptionJob Summary/Company: Sparks Group has partnered with a national health care association, seeking a Legislative & Political Affairs Manager to lead their legislative program and advocacy activities. If you bring experience lobbying members of Congress and managing advocacy and legislative activities related to patient care, apply now
    This is a hybrid role and requires regular work in the office.

    Responsibilities:
    • Monitor, analyze, and influence legislative proposals, educating legislators regarding position on relevant issues
    • Act as liaison with congressional and committee staff
    • Represent Legislative Affairs Committee, ensuring timely updates on activities at the federal level
    • Track federal legislation through publications, newly introduced bills, writing legislative analysis, and environmental scans on public policy issues
    • Record meeting minutes during committee meetings, facilitate legislative priorities survey, and work with committee affairs team on membership requirements
    • Staff the legislative affairs committee work groups
    • Represent the organization during coalition activities
    • Draft Articles and disseminate periodic bulletins, updates, and alerts to leadership and membership

    Qualifications/Background Profile:
    • Bachelor in political science, social science, or related field preferred
    • 5+ years of government relations and project management experience required
    • Capitol Hill experience preferred
    • Knowledge of government and regulatory processes including campaign finance laws
    • Strong communication skills
    • Proficient with MS Office and membership databases

    This job is Hybrid Remote.
