Responsibilities:

Due to our continued growth, our New York City office is seeking a
Construction Project Manager to lead a team working on public infrastructure projects throughout the five boroughs.

Coordinates project activities establishes priorities and staff to jobs. Prepares Summary Inspection Report of Daily activities.
Monitors contractor progress and compares with the reviewed progress schedule.
Resolves technical field issues, and coordinates with Architects and Engineers for timely and accurate responses to requests for information.
Oversees project controls, including checking contractors' controls and coordinating schedules, reviews constructors schedule.
Supervising and mentoring all Inspectors and office engineers; monitoring their activities and providing leadership.
Providing guidance to inspection staff on the usual CM/inspections tasks such as: invoice review/approval, construction inspection, schedule control, cost control, reporting, progress meetings, contract closeout, etc.
Reviews submittals for conformance to plans and specifications. Develops strategies with the contractor to create submittal packages that conform to schedule requirements.
Provides interpretation and enforcement of contract plans and specifications. Develops strategies with the contractor to create submittal packages that conform to schedule requirements.
Confirms change order requests, develops estimates, negotiates costs, and writes change orders.
Ensure Adherences to Safety, Quality, Ethical Standards, Lessons Learned, and Performance Management programs in accordance with Division Company/Program Policies, Standards, Guides, and Contractual commitments.
Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines are met
Coordinating with Managers and staff as project completion approaches in order to facilitate a smooth startup of the new facilities.
Ability to Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring not only the technical success of the projects but also delivering the projects on time and within budget.
Client management, project management and management of project business functions such as productivity/billability
Manage and develop staff as assigned, including providing input on performance evaluations.

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, or Engineering
Ideally you will also have a Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Professional Engineer (PE) license (NY)
10+ years' experience in a construction management role
Indepth understand OSHA safety regulations Strong communication and timemanagement skills
NYCDDC, NYCEDC, NYCDEP, MTA or similar experience required
