    Description

    We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead our talented team in developing web applications for Employers. These applications are crucial in enhancing the experience of our clients by providing timely access to earned wages for their employees. As the Software Engineering Manager, your role will involve optimizing and improving the scalability, stability, and efficiency of our web applications, REST services, and backend processes in this domain.

    What You'll Do:

    • Recruit, hire, and develop a world-class team to support our growing customer base
    • Manage and scale a full-stack development team comprised of onshore and offshore team members
    • Motivate staff and provide technical direction and guidance as both manager and mentor
    • Own all operational metrics and support
    • Lead, advance, and develop the company's engineering processes for product design, review, and release for improved project profitability
    • Be a hands-on leader who is technically involved and helps drive initiatives
    • Define, manage, and enforce engineering standards and methods according to industry best practices
    • Coordinate multiple projects across multiple departments and drive innovative solutions
    What You'll Bring:
    • 10+ years of relevant engineering experience
    • 5+ years of hiring and managing onshore and offshore engineering team members
    • Experience in breaking down monolithic architecture to improve scalability, stability and delivery efficiency.
    • Experience in partnering with product and support
    • Experience managing high-volume, scalable, complex, public-facing systems
    • Solid understanding of object-oriented design principles and design patterns
    • 5+ years of hands-on development experience with Microsoft .NET and SQL database
    • 3+ years of experience in cloud computing
    • 5+ years of agile development
    • Experience in Financial Technology: payroll, payments, e-commerce, etc.
    • Experience with SOC 2 or PCI compliance
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, computer science, or relevant years of experience
    Nice to haves:
    • Experience in Financial Technology: payroll, payments, ecommerce, etc.
    • Experience with Microsoft Azure
    • Experience working on and supporting high volume traffic web applications

    Compensation: $185,000 - $200,000 + Equity. The actual base salary will depend on numerous factors such as: location, experience, training, knowledge. and skills. Tapcheck reserves the right to amend, change, alter, and revise pay ranges and benefits offerings at any time. All applicants acknowledge that by applying to this position you understand that this specific pay range is contingent upon meeting the qualifications and requirements of the role, and for the successful completion of the interview selection and process. It is at the Company's discretion to determine what pay is provided to a candidate within the range associated with the role.
