    Overview:


    Prime Physician's is seeking a seasoned Human Factors Engineer to join our team dedicated to improving healthcare outcomes through innovative design and ergonomic solutions.

    With a focus on enhancing the efficiency, safety, and user satisfaction, the ideal candidate will bring deep expertise and a methodical approach to engineering.

    This position requires a minimum of 12 years of specialized experience in human factors engineering.

    Human Factors Engineer must have a deep understanding of research and industry trends and apply this state-of-the-art knowledge in findings and methods to devise strategies, evaluations, and designs to assess products and processes.

    They must have experience in suggesting redesigns or minimizing negative impacts where products or processes are essential. These engineers must be able to visualize how design changes made to products will affect all users.

    They must be able to make thoughtful suggestions during live demo calls and react to participant answers during any type of user session.

    They must also have communication skills to clearly enunciate human factor issues to the engineering team and to end users, both formally and informally.

    Must have a thorough understanding of all applicable standards, HFE methods, and dissemination options.

    Have experience with and demonstrate understanding of SAFe's Lean Agile principles and practices to drive value and sustain organizational change and operational excellence through the empowering of high-performing Agile teams.

    Must have Masters degree (PhDs are preferrable)

    Responsibilities:


    Conduct comprehensive analyses of user interactions and integrate ergonomic principles to optimize the design of medical devices and healthcare environments.

    Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, and engineers to gather requirements and translate clinical needs into actionable design improvements.

    Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of user studies, including usability testing and user experience research.
    Apply advanced knowledge of human behavior, abilities, limitations, and other characteristics to the design of systems, tasks, and workspaces.
    Develop and maintain human factors documentation throughout the product development lifecycle according to relevant standards and regulatory guidelines.
    Provide expert recommendations and solutions to reduce risks associated with usability and improve overall system performance.
    Stay updated with the latest research and advances in human factors engineering, ergonomic standards, and healthcare technologies.

    Qualifications:
    Minimum of 12 years of specialized experience in human factors engineering, ideally within the healthcare sector.
    Master's degree or higher in Human Factors Engineering, Ergonomics, or a related field.
    Strong background in designing and conducting human factors research, usability testing, and ergonomic assessments.
    Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
    Expertise in regulatory standards applicable to medical device design and healthcare systems.
    Proficient in using human factors engineering tools and software for analysis and design.

    Desired Skills:
    Certification from a recognized body in human factors or ergonomics (e.g., Board of Certification in Professional Ergonomics).
    Experience in digital health technologies and integrating user-centered design practices in agile development environments.
    Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
