    Description

    Job Description

    OYO Corporation, Pacific is seeking an office manager with technical training as a geotechnical/civil engineer to lead the engineering team in Guam. The office manager will handle accounting and sales, firm operating procedures, development and management of junior staff, and project management in a small and dynamic work environment. The ideal candidate should excel in engineering analysis and reporting for various construction aspects and provide quality control oversight of OYO's Construction Material Testing laboratory in Guam. A PE licensed Civil Engineer with a geotechnical background is preferred. Candidates with strong business management skills and a background in engineering or related disciplines will also be considered.

    Role

    • Act as office manager responsible for managing a team of 8-12 personnel, overseeing accounting, sales, staff development, and office procedures.
    • Supervise geotechnical engineering services as Geotechnical/Civil Engineer for design projects in Guam.
    • Review technical specifications, provide direction for geophysical/geotechnical investigations, and interpret data for foundations design.
    • Supervise fieldwork, on-site investigations, and provide specialized inspection of construction sites.
    • Author geotechnical reports, provide analysis and recommendations for construction projects.
    • Train and manage the OYO construction and soil materials testing lab in Dededo, Guam.
    • Collaborate with other Engineers to execute project work.

    Requirements

    • B.S. or M.S. degree in civil or geotechnical engineering or related field.
    • U.S. Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Geotechnical and/or Civil Engineering preferred.
    • Minimum 10 years' experience in engineering projects.
    • Excellent communication skills in English.
    • Willingness to relocate to Guam, U.S.A.
    • Positive and professional demeanor.

    Compensation

    • $100,000 to $135,000 Annually
