Description
Kleinschmidt has a full-time opening for aSenior Level Geotechnical Engineer
to design and manage projects with a multi-disciplinary team for dam removals, embankment dam repairs, fish passage facilities, recreation facilities, renewable energy projects, and stream restorations.
We are looking for someone to join a dynamic team of professionals working on unique projects across the US and Canada.
Multiple office locations in the United States would be considered (including Falmouth, Maine; Portland, Oregon; Redmond, Washington; Strasburg, Pennsylvania; Lexington, South Carolina; and Madison, Wisconsin).
Our flexibility and core value of relationships allow us to offer employees the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment including working from the office and remotely.
This position would require working from the office a minimum of one day per week to coordinate with project teams and mentor staff.
Salary:
$90,000-$150,000/year (based on experience)
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil (concentration in Geotechnical or Geological Engineering) or Geotechnical Engineering from ABET or Engineers Canada accredited college/university
10+ years of experience in civil engineering
Design and construction experience of embankments, deep and shallow foundation design, temporary excavation support, and embankment condition assessments
Enjoys collaborating with clients and co-workers and can collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team while applying geotechnical engineering skills from analysis and design through to construction
Preferred Qualifications
A Master's in Civil Engineering with concentration in Geotechnical or Geological Engineering
Experience performing dam safety, foundation, or construction inspections
Experience in slope stability and seepage analyses, preferably with Slope/W and Seep/W software
Experience developing geotechnical investigation, monitoring and instrumentation programs, and laboratory testing programs
Additional Requirements
Willing to become licensed in other states in which we perform engineering
Must possess permanent authorization to work in the United States and able to acquire authorization to work in Canada
Must be willing to travel periodically and possess a valid driver's license
