    Senior Geotechnical Engineer

    for our

    Portland, OR

    office.

    Your Impact

    Developing and supervising geotechnical investigations and laboratory testing programs for highway and transit project

    Performing geotechnical analyses and design of shallow and deep foundations, embankments/cuts, and earth retaining systems for transportation/water/energy projects

    Performing numerical analysis for complex underground projects

    Preparing geotechnical memoranda and reports

    Developing geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring plan

    Providing design services during construction

    Who You Are

    Required Qualifications

    BS in Civil Engineering

    5 to 7 years of relevant experience in geotechnical and tunnel engineering field

    Professional Engineer Registration in Oregon or Washington State

    Demonstrated knowledge and experience in geotechnical engineering

    Good verbal and written communication skills

    Ability and willingness to travel for field work

    Preferred Qualifications

    MS in Civil Engineering with Geotechnical emphasis

    Familiar with seismic design specifications and requirements in Pacific Northwest

    Proven Experience using engineering software from commercially available developers (i.e. Ensoft, Itasca, Rocscience, Bentley)

    Experience with MicroStation and GIS systems
