Job Opportunity: Production Supervisor at LightForce Orthodontics

Description

We are seeking a Production Supervisor to join our dynamic Operations team at LightForce Orthodontics. In this role, you will lead all production activities during designated shifts, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are consistently met. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership qualities, acute attention to detail, and a successful background in a manufacturing setting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate production activities on assigned shifts to meet targets and deadlines.
Ensure adherence to schedules, adjusting staffing levels as needed for optimal productivity.
Enforce compliance with safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment.
Train, mentor, and motivate staff to enhance performance and encourage continuous improvement.
Inspect equipment regularly to identify maintenance needs and ensure smooth operation.
Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to coordinate workflow and address production issues.
Maintain accurate production records and reports on inventory, output, and quality metrics.
Implement and enforce company policies to uphold quality and safety standards.
Drive initiatives for enhanced efficiency, waste reduction, and minimal downtime.
Be the primary contact for addressing safety, quality, delivery, and cost issues on the production floor.

Education and Experience

Background in manufacturing with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
Preferably, a Bachelor's degree in engineering, business management, or a related field.

Required Qualifications

Experience in a manufacturing environment, with supervision experience.
Strong understanding of production processes, equipment, and quality control.
Effective communication and leadership skills for collaborating in a multi-shift setting.
Proactive approach to troubleshooting in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
Proficiency in relevant software applications.

Preferred Qualifications

Relevant Bachelor's degree.
Experience with ISO standards, medical device regulation, startups, and additive manufacturing.
Familiarity with tools like QuickSight, Jira, and GitHub.

Physical Demands

Manual dexterity and ability to reach.
Visual, auditory, and verbal communication abilities.
Handling production chemicals with necessary protective gear.
Standing and walking for extended periods.

Work Environment

Primarily in an office setting.
Work involves sitting in a non-mobile position.
Stable temperature conditions with occasional exposure to chemicals.
Working near machinery and chemicals with moderate to loud noise levels.
