    Job Description

    Summary

    The Prep Cook helps with station assignments, maintains place, and prepares hot and cold foods for the restaurant according to Chefs specifications.

    Job Posting Deadline

    Applications for this position will be accepted on a rolling basis.

    Essential Job Functions

    Set up station and mise-enplace to Chefs specifications

    Cook food to order

    Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc.

    Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food etc.

    Prepare simple dishes such as salads, entrees etc.

    May be involved in sauteing, grilling, and roasting stations

    Help organize kitchen items including, dry goods, kitchen equipment, storage containers, cleaning supplies, and food deliveries

    Set up, work, and breakdown station

    Maintain station cleanliness throughout shiftand help washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash

    Submit production needs for the following day by shift end

    Other duties as assigned
