- U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
- Experience with System Safety Engineering practices as derived from MIL-STD-882E, and Joint Software Systems Safety Committee (JSSSC) Handbook.
- Experience with DoD System Safety Programs, Army experience preferred
- Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal and project management skills, with the ability to manage a safety program and provide direction to supporting safety personnel
- Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (including Agile and/or Waterfall)
- Experience with a wide application of technical theories and concepts related to system safety engineering
- Knowledge of AR 385-10, Army System Safety Management Guide, MIL-HDBK-454, MIL-STD-464, MIL-STD-1425, AMCOM 385-17, and Human Systems Integration, SAE 6906
- Experience Software System Safety Technical Review Panels (SSSTRP) or Software Materiel Release activities
- Experience developing proposals and basis of estimates
- Master's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- Bachelor's degree and 8 years of relevant experience OR in absence of a degree, 15+ years of relevant experience will be considered.

Description
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security ClearanceAs a member of the Engineering Team, expect a dynamic and demanding environment that values discipline, adherence to processes, and adding value to our customers through our respective disciplines.
This position serves as a member of the Engineering Team and supports various programs within a matrix management assignment as directed.
Deliverables include, but not limited to, System Safety Management Plan, Preliminary Hazard Analysis, System Safety Risk Assessment, System Safety Hazard Analysis Report, Safety and Health Data Sheets, technical reports, schedules, basis of estimates for new pursuits, and analyses as required to execute program systems safety for Army programs.
