    Description


    Midwest Valve Services, a Novaspect company, is currently offering an opportunity for a Machinist to join our fast paced, customer oriented team.

    The successful candidate will have advanced machining experience and excellent mechanical skills.

    Machinist Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAbility to troubleshoot and correct machining issuesProgram, edit and operate CNC (computer numeric control) M/G code machine toolsDesign and fabricate custom tooling and fixturesAbility to use 2D AutoCAD Create and edit drawingsAdvanced setup and operationEngine & Vertical Lathes Milling MachinesAbility to machine parts to precise dimensions and finish per drawingsUnderstanding of Basic Metallurgy Understanding of material combinations related to wear and gallingUnderstanding of Heat Treating Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and blueprintsApply advanced math skills toVerify measurementsCalculate dimensions Verify tolerances Knowledge and proper selection ofToolingCutting speedFeed rates Performs service requests as assigned under the supervision of the Shop Manager and Lead Technicians.

    Drive vehicle to and from job sites.
    Maintain a clean work environment.
    Follow all safety guidelines. RequirementsMachinist Education and/or ExperienceValve, pump or actuator experience preferred.
    Welding ability is a plus.


    Machinist Pay:

    Cash compensation potential:
    $25-$32/hr (Overtime Elgible)

    Overnight travel required. Salary Description $25-32/hr
