ABR is recruiting for Entry-level Machinists for a local CNC machine shop.

Position Summary: Responsible for operating machines to fabricate high quality machined parts as efficiently as possible, while training.

Entry Level CNC Machinist rotating schedule:
Week 1: Thursday Wednesday: 6am 5pm, 11 hours per shift
Week 2: Thursday Wednesday: Off
Week 3: Thursday Wednesday: 6pm 5am, 11 hours per shift
Week 4: Thursday Wednesday: Off

Starting wage is $ $19.00 per hour

Entry-Level CNC MachinistPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Basic computer navigation skills required for data lookup and documenting daily activities to specific jobs using company software.
• Position and secure work pieces in fixtures or holding devices.
• Start automatic operation of NC machine to machine parts to specifications.
• Measure, examine, and test completed parts in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications using precision
• measuring instruments.
• Follow a manufacturing plan which includes; set up sheets, inspection guides, and applicable work instructions, not all inclusive.
• Confer with supervisor or Level 3 machinist to resolve machine malfunctions and production errors, and obtain approval to continue
• production.
• Must display organizational, as well as cleanliness skills to minimize the potential for human error oversights.
• Removal of burrs from machined parts using a variety of hand and power tools

Qualifications for Entry-level Machinist:

• Must have a High School Education or equivalent is required, Machine Tool Certificate preferred
• Must have excellent work ethic
• Must have good math skills
• Must be able to stand on your feet for an eleven hour shift
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Willing to learn/trainable
  Good attendance/reliability
  Mechanical aptitude
