Responsibilities:
Optimizing the extrusion process from design to product launch and continual improvement
Thoroughly documenting process requirements and parameters to assure equipment and work cell team are capable of commercial production.
Implementation of SOP's (standard operating procedures) Includes standardized work, workplace organization, quality and packaging specifications
Conduct data analysis of scrap, downtime, line rates, and material usage. Prepare charts, and reports to assist the plant team to make data driven decisions to improve results.
Utilize various continuous improvement tools to improve the manufacturing process.
Required Qualifications:
4-year technical degree in Plastics Engineering, Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar.
3 years of functional and HANDS-ON process engineering experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Experience managing development projects, improvement projects, tooling projects, etc.
Ability to lead a team and drive results through others.
Preferred Qualifications:
3 years' experience with Continuous Improvement tools such as lean manufacturing, Kaizen, 6 sigma.
Six Sigma Green / Black Belt.
PLC programing experience.
