Description

• Provide Machine Vision expertise and support to manufacturing processes.
• Support the implementation of Machine Vision related projects (mainly Cognex Insight Spreadsheet environment).
• Code Review/debug of a wide spectrum of bespoke vision jobs/algorithms.
• Investigate issues and develop solutions for Machine Vision Applications.
• Characterization, optimization, emulation, and data analysis on proposed Vision jobs.
• Collaboration with other internal functions (eg QA/Operations/Engineering).
• Standardization of best machine vision practices across site.
• Lead vision related obsolescence upgrade projects
• Vision Training for engineering personnel

• Candidates must have minimum 5 years machine vision relevant work experience, preferably in a regulated high volume automated manufacturing environment.
• Candidates must have demonstrated expertise with Cognex Insight hardware/software platform (spreadsheet environment)
• Candidates must have a comprehensive understanding of Optics, Lighting Techniques, Troubleshooting/Diagnostics, with demonstrable competency in vision algorithm development and interfaces with PLC/HMI systems.
• Candidates must have extensive knowledge of vision tools such as histograms, edge tools, blob tools, OCR, logic, image processing techniques, job profiling etc
• Candidates must have completed Cognex advanced spreadsheet training.
• Experience with Cognex Vision Pro, Designer and Keyence vision systems
• Candidates should have a good knowledge of data analysis/statistical methods.
• Candidates should have experience of GDP/GMP/GAMP.

• Degree in Engineering or Science equivalent
• Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent desirable.

• Excellent communication / interpersonal skills.

• Flexible and innovative approach to work.
• Occasional travel for training and project implementation.
