Job Description

As an Operations Coordinator for AoPS Academy, you will play a critical role in supporting our campuses, helping them to flourish and reach more students. In this role, you will coordinate and facilitate day-to-day operations between HQ and our campuses, working closely with campus staff, various HQ departments, and external vendors. Since our campuses operate on the weekends, please note that some weekend work may be required.

The Operations Coordinator will:

Facilitate, execute, and track recurring and one-off operational tasks and projects, working closely with campus staff, other departments both within and outside of the broader Academy team, and external vendors as appropriate. This may include purchasing supplies, planning events, and coordinating programs and initiatives like Academy committees or student contests.
Create, maintain, and improve documentation.
Develop, maintain, and improve operations, systems, processes, and workflows.
Monitor national-level communications channels, triaging and responding to questions, issues, and requests.
Assist with other operational demands as needed, including customer and campus support.
Complete other tasks and responsibilities, as assigned.

The ideal candidate has:

Experience managing projects, tasks, or operations
Business or other background to support data evaluation and operational problem solving
Exceptional organizational and priority management skills
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple stakeholders
Interest or experience in education or edtech is a plus

Art of Problem Solving (AoPS) is on a mission to discover, inspire, and train the great problem solvers of the next generation. Since 2003, we have trained hundreds of thousands of the country's top students, including nearly all the members of the US International Math Olympiad team, through our online school, in-person academies, textbooks, and online learning systems. While our primary focus has been math for most of our history, through the years we have expanded our unique problem solving curriculum into more subjects, such as language arts, science, and computer science.
