    About the Job:

    Join the Magruder Eye Institute team, a leading ophthalmic group in Orange, Osceola, and Seminole Counties, committed to delivering personalized eye care of the highest quality. As a Patient Services Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing a welcoming environment for both patients and physicians. This position offers the opportunity for growth into other roles within the organization.

    Magruder Eye Institute has been serving the community for over 60 years and is affiliated with Ascend Vision Partners.

    Position Overview:

    • Interact with patients and physicians at the front desk
    • Assist in building relationships with patients
    • Perform administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations
    • Promote a positive and welcoming experience for all individuals

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Obtain and verify demographic information and insurance details
    • Schedule appointments and manage patient consents
    • Collect payments and balance end-of-day deposits
    • Coordinate with clinical teams and referring physicians
    • Assist with various administrative tasks
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications:

    • Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork abilities
    • Comfortable with medical terminology
    • High School Graduate or equivalent

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Experience in a healthcare setting
    • Certification as a Patient Services Specialist
    • Fluency in Spanish

    Physical Demands:

    • Ability to operate computer devices and communicate effectively
    • Requires frequent standing and walking
