- Cost estimating/analysis duties, to include, Program Office Estimates (POE), Independent Government Estimates (IGCE), and special studies; building and delivering the annual POEs for coordination and approval to the AFLCMC/FZC cost chief, or designee, prior to the Program Objective Memorandum (POM) submission. Validates Cost and Software Data Reporting (CSDR) CDRL submissions. Reconciles estimates with the Air Force Cost Analysis Agency as required.
- Oversees and/or supports source selection cost panel activities for business systems' software acquisitions.
- Utilizes cost methodologies, applies software estimation tools and software applications to perform various analyses and cross-checks.
- Prepares and maintains detailed cost documentation appropriate for all cost projects and deliverables supported.
- Works collegially with integration lead, budget leads, program managers, and contractors across two geographically separate locations (MAFB Gunter-Annex, Montgomery, AL and WPAFB, OH).

The employee must meet, or be capable of meeting, Defense Acquisition Work Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements applicable to the duties of the position. Employee is expected to meet Continuous Acquisition Education requirements. APDP level varies by position and may be level 2/Practitioner or 3/Advanced.

- The incumbent is required to file an OGE Form 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon appointment and will be required to file annually.

- BASIC EDUCATION REQUIREMENT (OPERATIONS RESEARCH SERIES): Degree: in operations research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. Specialized experience must include experience performing routine cost analysis and basic cost estimates associated with preparation of system cost.
