    Description


    General descriptionResponsible for the operation and daily maintenance of cranes, as well as for the supervision of the deck crew.

    During helicopter operations on-board, assumes the role of Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO).ResponsibilityEmergency responsibilities as per station billAct as Area Responsible for Lifting Operations (ARLO) for the marine crewSupervising the assigned deck team during loading/unloading operations, pipe handling jobs, various maintenance work, cleaning of deck areas, etc.

    Supervising the deck crew during helicopter operations in carrying out safety precautions, refueling operations, and loading/unloadingOperating the cranesEnsuring pre-checks have been performed for each liftPerforming regular inspections of the cranes, crane wires and the cargo gearHousekeeping on deckResponsible for waste segregationRigging, rigging loft and lifting equipment inventory and maintenanceEnsuring that hazardous products are handled, stored, used and labeled in accordance with the product data sheets, and that personnel using them are instructed accordinglyAssisting in ensuring that on-the-job training, mentoring and experience transfer within team is effective, especially in correct and safe slinging, proper and safe stowage of cargo and materials.

    AuthorityWhere responsibility is allocated the matching authority is also granted, unless otherwise stated. Stop any operation when deemed unsafe to continue.

    Documentation and record responsibilitiesMake required entries in the maintenance logbook, the lubrication/greasing logbook and the deck logbookMake sure that all cargo gear being used are properly certified.

    Maintain accurate logs of all lifting tackle and appliances.


    Qualification requirementsExperience:


    Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Crane Operator or Assistant Crane OperatorKnowledge of crane and rigging safety instructions, and regulations and operational limits of cranes and associated lifting equipment.

    Must know how to inspect all of the crane's systems and equipment and associated rigging equipment. and have knowledge of the Company's paint specifications and procedures.


    Certification Requirements:
    Training according to training matrixCrane Operator Stage 3 certificate or equivalent as per area of operationCertified as Helicopter Landing Officer - preferably accredited to OPITOBanksman Slinger and Rigger certificate - OPITO/Norwegian standard or internal Noble

    Additional Skills:

    Good interpersonal skills - ability to communicate at all levelsGood verbal and written English skillsDeputyN/ARequisitioning authorityDetermined by job level as per corporate guidelines.
