- Emergency responsibilities as per station bill
- Act as Area Responsible for Lifting Operations (ARLO) for the marine crew
- Supervising the assigned deck team during loading/unloading operations, pipe handling jobs, various maintenance work, cleaning of deck areas, etc.
- Supervising the deck crew during helicopter operations in carrying out safety precautions, refueling operations, and loading/unloading
- Operating the cranes
- Ensuring pre-checks have been performed for each lift
- Performing regular inspections of the cranes, crane wires and the cargo gear
- Housekeeping on deck
- Responsible for waste segregation
- Rigging, rigging loft and lifting equipment inventory and maintenance
- Ensuring that hazardous products are handled, stored, used and labeled in accordance with the product data sheets, and that personnel using them are instructed accordingly
- Assisting in ensuring that on-the-job training, mentoring and experience transfer within team is effective, especially in correct and safe slinging, proper and safe stowage of cargo and materials.
- Make required entries in the maintenance logbook, the lubrication/greasing logbook and the deck logbook
- Make sure that all cargo gear being used are properly certified. Maintain accurate logs of all lifting tackle and appliances.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Crane Operator or Assistant Crane Operator
- Knowledge of crane and rigging safety instructions, and regulations and operational limits of cranes and associated lifting equipment. Must know how to inspect all of the crane's systems and equipment and associated rigging equipment. and have knowledge of the Company's paint specifications and procedures.
- Training according to training matrix
- Crane Operator Stage 3 certificate or equivalent as per area of operation
- Certified as Helicopter Landing Officer - preferably accredited to OPITO
- Banksman Slinger and Rigger certificate - OPITO/Norwegian standard or internal Noble
- Good interpersonal skills - ability to communicate at all levels
- Good verbal and written English skills
- Conduct in a manner which safeguards own and colleagues' safety and health
- Cooperate in enhancing safety standards
- Ensure actions do not compromise the Company's procedures for safeguarding the environment.
