- Provides oversight for financially related projects to support the department and the organization's business goals. Works with Accounting department leadership and division chiefs to ensure consistent, user-friendly financial information. Assists in overseeing financially related functions, internal controls, and implementing policies and procedures. Manages activities for accurate monthly close and annual audit. Collaborates with executive leaders to set departmental goals and establish best practices.
- The SHS Accounting department is responsible for managing Samaritan Health Services' finances to achieve business goals. Ensures regulatory compliance by monitoring financial activities and internal controls. Handles the monthly close, annual audit, accounts payable, and payroll functions.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required, Master's degree preferred.
CPA certification required.
Minimum five years progressive experience in public accounting and healthcare industry, including three years of leadership experience.
Previous management involvement in financial management of a small to medium-sized hospital or health system.
