About the firm We seek a maritime associate attorney with 3-7 years' experience who wants to develop and become a mainstay member of our team. Litigation and trial experience I federal court is a plus.
You will be entrusted with a case load, supervisory authority over junior associates and paralegals and a legal assistant and other resources to accomplish this.
The position requires strong and persuasive oral advocacy skills, strong legal research, and excellent writing skills, drafting substantive pleadings and motions, preparation of and response to written discovery, taking depositions and attending hearings and trials.
Firm offers great benefits, a fast-paced and lively work environment, and opportunities to do substantive and meaningful legal work rarely entrusted to associates at other firms. You will not be a glorified paralegal at our practice"

Two-tiered bonus system:
1. For any month with over 200 hours billed put into a system that month)= $1K ( paid monthly)
2. Year-end bonus eligibility premised on: a) firm surplus for disbursement; b) above average productivity; c) excellence in intangible contributions.
