- Project Management:
- Work through entire process of project execution including, but not limited to quick grasp of unique project scopes of work; familiarity with CSI specifications and competence in reading/comprehending blue prints; producing well-thought out safety/project plan; communicating with customers, teammates, suppliers and subcontractors; providing strong problem-solving assistance to field employees and subcontractors; providing accurate feedback and collaboration with project management and operations to ensure budgets are met and; planning ahead to ensure project flow and timely delivery of supplies and resources.
- Visit job sites daily and provide necessary updates to team, project managers and customers.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and motivate on-site crews, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to company policies.
- Instruct team on best practices for production and train employees on safety procedures and equipment.
- Coach, mentor, and retain reliable and competent field personnel.
- Identify key strengths of team members and assign tasks accordingly.
- Conduct performance evaluations, set performance goals, and provide performance feedback to team members.
- Plan and attend any leadership specific meetings and trainings.
- Safety Compliance:
- Enforce safety protocols and regulations on all job sites. Conduct safety meetings and ensure all team members are following proper safety procedures.
- Complete required safety training such as fall protections or OSHA.
- Complete daily/weekly toolbox talks & send follow up documentation to key stakeholders.
- Quality Control:
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure all work meets company standards and project specifications. Address any issues or deficiencies promptly.
- Coordination:
- Liaise with project managers, clients, architects, and subcontractors to ensure clear communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist in development and coordination of master schedule.
- Problem-Solving:
- Proactively identify potential issues and implement effective solutions to prevent delays or rework.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, time sheets, safety records, and material inventories.
- Client Relations:
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, providing proactive communication, addressing their concerns and ensuring their satisfaction with the project outcomes.
- Be the primary contact for the customer and field. Set clear, early communication expectations.
- Coordinate site access planned commencement and anticipated durations with the customer.
- Attend any necessary project meetings.
- Proven experience in the roofing or construction industry, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational training or certifications in roofing or construction management is a plus.
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work at heights, lift heavy materials, and perform physical labor in various weather conditions.
- Fluency in Spanish
- Strong knowledge of roofing systems, materials, and installation techniques.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficient in ability to evaluate workload and prioritize tasks accordingly.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

We're looking for an experienced Superintendent to join our growing team at Wagner Roofing. We are an established roofing company based in Hyattsville, MD. For over 100 years, we have been dedicated to preserving iconic buildings, commercial institutions, and residential homes with award-winning craftsmanship across Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia.
The Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of roofing projects from inception to completion. This includes managing on-site activities, coordinating with subcontractors, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining project schedules and budgets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously. The Superintendent will work very closely with the Project Manager to ensure jobs run smoothly and the information needed is provided in a timely manner.Role and Responsibilities
