Job Description

Emprise Corporation provides condition-based monitoring, machinery diagnostic and maintenance engineering services that that allow engineers to make sound and cost-effective decisions. Emprise is looking for a talented Data Analyst to join our Data Analytics team, in our Chesapeake, Virginia Office. This position will assist a small team developing Tableau Dashboards used to visualize Military Sealift Command maintenance effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

Develop, design, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards to support data visualization and reporting needs.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure dashboards meet customer needs.
Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights to support decision-making processes.
Optimize and enhance existing Tableau dashboards for performance and usability.
Provide training and support to end-users on Tableau functionalities and best practices.
Ensure data accuracy and integrity within Tableau dashboards.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Tableau reports and dashboards.
Stay updated with the latest Tableau features and industry best practices.
Occasional travel may be required.

Required Qualifications:

Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD Security Clearance.
Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a data analyst, with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in Tableau.
Knowledge of SQL for data querying and manipulation.
Strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong business acumen and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Desired Qualifications:

Tableau certification (e.g., Tableau Desktop Specialist, Tableau Certified Data Analyst).
Shipyard experience.
SAMM experience.
Experience in scripting languages such as Python or R for data analysis.
Excellent time-management skills with ability to accurately prioritize tasks, multitask, and move multiple projects forward.
Strong research, problem solving, and analytical skills.
Strong verbal, written, communication, and presentation skills.
Experience working in an Agile environment and knowledge of key Agile principles.
