Description
The Research group is seeking a highly motivated Scientist to develop, optimize, execute bioanalytical assays to support company gene therapy programs. In this role, you will work closely with a team of scientists to advance AAV based gene therapies.
A successful candidate will be able to use the current available technologies and explore Client techniques/technologies as appropriate. The successful candidate will also collaborate with other departments in company Research and Development organizations to develop bioanalytical methods supporting non-clinical and/or clinical programs.
As a member of the Translational team, you must be able to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment, manage work priorities, and have the desire to succeed at the highest level.
• Develop, optimize, and execute bioanalytical assays to characterize AAV vectors designed for various therapeutic programs and to evaluate PK/PD profiles of such vector in appropriate model systems.
• Perform sample analysis per established method or SOP
• Contribute to the tech transfer of developed assays to internal or external collaborators
• Support internal Translational lab operation and maintenance
• Perform data analysis and author/ review method SOP, assay development summary and report
Quals--
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• PhD or equivalent with 1 to 3 years, or MS with 3 to 5 years of experience on assay development, AAV experience strongly preferred.
• Scientific training and hands-on experience with various cell-based and molecular assays, including but not limited to 2D and /3D cell culture, cell-based potency assay, ELISA, western, qPCR, RT-qPCR, and DNA/RNA/protein extraction from cells and animal (including NHP) tissues
• Experience with organoid experience preferred
• Strong organizational skills and detailed oriented
• Experience using Benchling for lab activity documentation preferred
• Good written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills.
