    Description

    Title: Senior Data Scientist (Subject Matter Expert)
    Location: Boston, MA initially 2 days on-site with potential extension to full week
    Job Type: Contract
    Contract Type: W2 or C2C
    Pay Rate: Compensation negotiable
    Visa: H1B

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Use data analytics and advanced statistics to guide investment decisions and boost business growth.
    • Work with various teams to pinpoint opportunities for utilizing data to improve investment strategies.
    • Establish and maintain a solid data infrastructure to support data-informed decision-making.
    • Stay informed on industry trends in data science and investments, integrating new methods and tools as necessary.
    • Lead the creation and execution of advanced data modeling and predictive analytics for supporting investment strategies.
    • Offer strategic advice to senior management on investment opportunities and risks based on data analysis.
    • Supervise the development and upkeep of data dashboards and reports to monitor investment performance and detect areas for enhancement.
    • Cooperate with other departments to ensure coherence and integration of data-driven strategies throughout the organization.

    Mandatory Skills:
    • Primary Skills: Proficiency in data science, statistical modeling, and time series analysis of financial markets data, Fixed Income Assets, and Investment Banking.
    • Secondary Skills: Experience in Gen AI, Language Model, etc.

    Required Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
    • Skills commonly acquired through an advanced degree (Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, etc.)
    • Strong grasp of the mathematics behind Machine Learning.
    • Ability to convey complex technical details clearly to various audiences.

    Required Experience:
    • At least 14 years of experience in data science designing and implementing statistical models, with minimum 6 years in Financial/Investment/Asset Management/Fixed Income.
    • Experience in data science, statistical modeling, and time series analysis of financial markets data, Fixed Income Assets, and/or Investment Banking.
    • Experience with Gen AI, Language Model, etc.
    • Previous roles in asset management firms focused on the front office.
    • Advanced proficiency in python and/or R.
    • Knowledge of various modeling and DS lifecycle activities, particularly in Python, and ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical leaders.
    • Understanding of Statistical modeling, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing techniques, and algorithms.
    • Solid coding skills in Python, Pyspark, Keras/tensorflow.
    • Experience with SQL & NoSQL databases.
    • Work experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, IBM, etc.)
    • Collaboration with data engineers on data sourcing, analysis, and feature engineering, as well as working with fellow data scientists on Machine Learning model development and deployment.
    • Creation of data pipelines for app engineering deployment across platforms and environments, and working with ML pipelines.
    • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in a big data environment.
