    Offices in New York, NY and Tampa, FL and this position can be a hybrid (preferred) or remote role.

    Compensation Range: $62,000-$72,000 DOE

    Direct Hire Position

    Position Summary

    The Paralegal will play an important role in providing comprehensive legal administrative support across various functions. Operating without an in-house legal team, this position requires a detail-oriented individual who can effectively manage processes, legal organization, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will facilitate the seamless execution of legal tasks, from setting up data rooms to managing entity formations, filings, lien searches, researching, managing license / permit requirements, tracking legal document and legal workstream statuses in our tracking system, etc.

    This role presents an opportunity to contribute significantly to our firm's operations, growth, and success.

    Key Deliverables & Responsibilities
    • Efficiently set up and maintain data rooms for transactions.
    • Coordinate with external law firms to conduct conflict checks.
    • Monitor and track the status of legal documents between buyer and seller counsel across transactions.
    • Manage background checks and lien searches (directly or via counsel).
    • Provide sellers support obtaining payoff letters and securing lien terminations.
    • Maintain accurate records of transactional steps and update legal organizational charts across our portfolio.
    • Ensure the availability of essential legal documents such as EIN letters and Certificates of Formation.
    • Transition diligence legal issues into operational workflows using
    • Facilitate the foreign qualification process for entities as necessary.
    • Monitor and track franchise taxes and similar filing requirements.
    • Track dates of key filing requirements across our legal entities.
    • Research licensing/permit requirements of different industries and ensure all are in place and up to date
    • Update post-closing fact sheets with relevant information.
    • Be a team player, willing and energized to plug in wherever might be needed.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    Position Requirements

    Minimum
    • Previous experience in a paralegal role.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy in record-keeping, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively and be a team player in a team-oriented environment.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Embody clients core values.
    • Excitement about clients business model.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
    Preferred
    • Certification as a paralegal or legal assistant.
    • Experience working in the private equity or financial services industry.
    • Familiarity with entity formations and filings.

    • Ability to adapt to evolving legal and regulatory landscapes.
