About this Role:


  • This position will foster a team environment within the Service Center Unit and provide positive guidance to Service Center staff and support the various FMD Units. The incumbent's work will support DHCS's staff and shareholders through the completion of warrant signatures and distribution, which is a critical component of supporting FMD in the accomplishment of its mission.
  • The incumbent will process master payroll documents including distributing master payroll warrants; post payroll transactions into Financial Information System for California (FI$Cal); maintain close contact with DHCS's Financial Management Division and Human Resource's Division personnel. The incumbent will be responsible for directing telephone calls and inquiries from the public and internal DHCS staff to the proper contacts. The staff will be assigned to the Accounting Payroll desk which assists and works directly with internal and external DHCS personnel.
