    Description

    Quality Systems Lead Position

    Summary: The Quality Systems Lead is responsible for overseeing the implementation of various quality standards and requirements such as TS16949, Ford specific TS, Q1, MSA, GPDS, and CQI. The role involves maintaining an effective internal auditing system to enhance process effectiveness.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop, implement, and enhance procedures and systems in compliance with quality standards.
    • Coordinate registration and surveillance audits with external auditors.
    • Conduct specific assessments and internal audits for compliance.
    • Train and develop internal auditors and ensure adherence to audit schedules.
    • Establish and maintain audit systems to track issues and drive improvements.
    • Lead quality systems orientation and training sessions.
    • Maintain document control processes and facilitate issue closure activities.
    • Support ongoing systems improvement initiatives.
    • Provide customer liaison support for quality-related issues.
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
    • Participate in safety programs and maintain a safe work environment.
    • Perform regular workplace inspections and investigate incidents promptly.
    • Handle any other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    To excel in this role, candidates should meet the following requirements:

    • Post-Secondary education in Quality or related field preferred.
    • Three to five years of experience in automotive assembly or manufacturing.
    • Experience as Internal or Lead Auditor, with Lead TS auditor certification.
    • Certification in AIAG core tools and ASQ internal auditor/CQA/CQE is a plus.
    • Strong computer skills and familiarity with manufacturing software.

    Skills and Abilities:

    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong problem-solving and leadership abilities.
    • Attention to detail and excellent documentation skills.
    • Knowledge of safety standards and OSHA guidelines.
    • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant software.

    Working Conditions:

    The role involves work in office and manufacturing environments with physical requirements such as standing, walking, and lifting up to thirty pounds. Availability for various shifts, weekends, and holidays may be necessary.
