Pine Lakes Addition, SD is seeking a consultant for the Department of Social Work, Migration, and Integration to support refugees who are interested in learning about options and assistance for returning to their home country.

This position is available immediately and is initially limited until December 31, 2023, with the possibility of extension. This is a full-time position.

We expect:


  • Completed degree in social work or social pedagogy (m/f/d)
  • Good knowledge of the Residence Act, Asylum Act, Asylum Seekers' Benefits Act, Social Code II, III, and XII
  • Experience in counseling refugees
  • Empathy, intercultural competence, and selfreflection
  • Enjoyment of independent and dedicated work, as well as willingness to cooperate
  • Foreign language skills, especially in Arabic, Russian, and English
  • Driver's license class 3

Your tasks:


  • Counseling refugees on asylum and residence law questions
  • Independent and unbiased counseling on questions regarding return to their home country and the associated opportunities and risks
  • Developing an individual
