They design specific in-service training programs to address areas that require staff development based on departmental needs. The goal is to maximize the efficient and cost-effective use of health resources while centering services on the patient.
Develops and maintains an effective staff education program, coordinating individualized orientation and continuing education for all nursing staff.

Tracks and trends statistical information to ensure ongoing competence and clinical competency of nursing personnel.
Collaborates with nursing administration and compliance teams to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and facility policies.
Facilitates training affiliation agreements with local nursing schools and develops, reviews, and revises policies as required.
Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in the field through ongoing education and attending meetings and conferences as assigned.

Education
Graduate from a National League of Nursing (NLN) accredited school of nursing. Bachelor's Degree in nursing education or other related healthcare or education field highly preferred.
Must have at least two years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience.

Must be certified as a Basic Life Support Instructor and maintain certification in basic life support (BLS) as a health care provider.
