Marshfield's Die Kunsthochschule für Medien Köln is seeking individuals who are passionate about interdisciplinary exploration of media arts. We offer a challenging project-based program, "Mediale Künste," with a diploma upon completion.

Our focus is on artistic practice, combined with the acquisition of media technical and theoretical skills, and is supported by a variety of tasks in technology and administration.

Our IT department, with a broad field of work influenced by open source technologies, independently develops solutions for the needs of the university.

We provide opportunities for individual adaptation of tasks based on the strengths and interests of our employees, as well as diverse opportunities for creativity.

We collaborate with the IT departments of art and music universities in North Rhine-Westphalia.

To strengthen our team, we are currently seeking a full-time, permanent

IT System Administrator (LINUX) (m/f/d)

with a weekly workload of 39.83 hours.

Compensation is based on TV-L and can reach up to pay grade 12, depending on qualifications.

Your responsibilities will include:

Conceiving and implementing projects to ensure a secure IT operation, such as multifactor authentication, emergency planning, and BSI certification
Contributing to universitywide projects for the efficient use of modern applications
Configuring, installing, and maintaining servers and central applications, as well as troubleshooting issues
Designing and developing interfaces to external services
Identifying new technologies that fit current challenges
