Senior Staff Accountant
SouthernCarlson is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join our corporate accounting team.
This position reports directly to our corporate controller and plays an essential role in supporting the financial reporting compliance, and information reporting needs of the business, as well as contributing to profitability through identification and implementation of cost control strategies.
Salary:
$75,000 to $90,000
Areas of Responsibility Include :
General Ledger and Subsystems
Information Systems Testing
Month End Close Process
Year End Audit
Monthly Reconciliation and Analysis of Various Balance Sheet and P&L Accounts
Assist with maintenance of sound internal control processes and JSOX audits
Special Projects as Assigned
Essential Qualifications include :
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred
Experience in for-profit accounting
Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP and IFRS
Strong analytical abilities, organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Advanced computer skills and MS Office application including Excel spreadsheet capabilities
Ability to work independently as well as with members of the accounting team and all other departments
Strong ethical and moral beliefs to uphold the company code of ethics and values
