Job DescriptionJob Title: Professional Development Manager/Coordinator
Position Classification: Full Time; $50k base salary plus up to $15k performance bonus; Benefits included
Reports To: Director of Program Experience
General Summary:
The Professional Development Manager/Coordinator oversees the training and development initiatives within the organization, working closely with staff to enhance their skills and knowledge. Responsibilities include recruiting trainers, managing training content, facilitating webinars, and coordinating all-staff training events. The role requires excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse personalities in both office and community settings.
Education and Experience:
College Degree with youth development & training facilitation experience preferred or equivalent education & experience.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
· Excellent organization, communication & leadership skills, with a strong attention to detail
· Ability to deal effectively with staff and youth
· Strong computer & technology skills
· Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills
· Understand the organization's philosophy, vision, and goals
· Strong in-person & virtual facilitation skills
· Ability to establish and cultivate positive relationships with staff & youth
Job Responsibilities:
· Demonstrate and promote the BGCCR Core Values
· Recruitment of BGCCR trainers
· Manage content for Be Great University (BGU) & BGCCR training catalogue
· Coordinate and Facilitate monthly webinar/trainings for training team
· Plan and implement annual All Staff training event
· Work with senior leadership & training team to create professional development content
· Maintain master training calendar
· Assist training team in reconciliation of trainings in iSolved, SLU, and SC Endeavors
· Work with BGCCR DSS liaison to ensure catalog of trainings are DSS approved
· Facilitate TOTs for training team
· Work with HR team to ensure compliance with all required staff trainings (DSS, BGCA, etc.)
· Other duties as assigned
Physical and Mental Requirements:
· Must be comfortable performing multi-faceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities
· Ability to get along with diverse personalities while at all times displaying tact, maturity, and flexibility
· Physical requirements include sight, hearing, standing for up to four hours a day, and the ability to implement programs
· Skills essential for success include speaking and writing
Environment & Working Conditions:
· Office or remote office environment
· Regular travel to BGCCR community organizations required
· After-school/Recreational settings that include being in/outdoors
· Occasional weekend work to support the organization's fundraising events and activities
