    Culinary Development Manager - North Carolina, United States - Inspire Brands

    Description

    The Culinary Innovation Manager is responsible for leading and managing the development of new products, and executing strategic initiatives across all segments and dayparts, from concept approval to product launch. This role involves overseeing the physical development of new products, product builds, and product improvement initiatives, bringing concepts to life through consumer and in-store testing. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to deliver products that meet success criteria for consumers, operations, and financial goals.

    Responsibilities:

    • Support the Product Innovation team in achieving organizational and personal goals, objectives, and strategies
    • Work independently on development projects with guidance from supervisors when needed. Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as New Product Marketing, Operations, Procurement, and Brand Marketing to set new product development objectives
    • Engage with vendor partners to develop new products from initial samples to commercialization. Provide recommendations for enhancements to prototypes
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish product specifications for commercialized products. Lead taste tests and product showings, making improvement recommendations based on feedback
    • Partner with Procurement Team to create accurate food and paper formulas. Provide material specifications to Agile Lead
    • Identify opportunities for improvement in new product development and product enhancement initiatives. Present recommendations to Culinary Innovation leadership
    • Manage the Product Innovation segment of the Product Lifecycle Management system. Organize and conduct Product Showcase events for various audiences including SONIC Senior Management, Board of Directors, Franchise Community, and Marketing Leadership
    • Provide guidance to other product Developers and oversee Culinary Support Team events and activities
    • Address any other duties as assigned

    Requirements:

    • Must hold a 2 Year Degree - A culinary or Food related degree
    • 3-5 years' experience in a culinary or product development role, with QSR culinary development experience preferred
