As part of several Cyber Security openings of ours in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, GovStaff is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Technical Specialist to serve under a major IT support contract for the Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC).

The focus of this role is security scanning, device hardening, and technical assessments.

Minimum Secret Clearance with ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree in directly related field; Relevant work experience may be substituted for Bachelor's degreeMust possess DOD M certifications meeting the requirements for IAT Level II or IAM Level I.

For example, Security + CE or above cyber security certification.

Hands on Experience with cyber security tools such as cybersecurity/IT tools such as ACAS, HBSS/ESS, eMASSAssessment experience for networks, applications, and/or systemsSTIG experienceRESPONSIBILITIES:

Use cybersecurity/IT tools such as ACAS, HBSS/ESS, eMASS, etc. in order to perform tasks such as security scanningProvide security related technical guidanceHarden devicesEvaluate technical risksUnderstand how changes in system configuration and/or network architecture affect a system's security posture and risk profileTechnical assessment of IT security controls and devices for networks, applications and systemsApply/implement DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)Evaluate technical risks associated with applying configuration changes to systems/network architectures and re-evaluation of security postures and risk profiles at the network environment level
